In 2022, the Slovenian Association of Literary Translators – DSKP will offer residencies to 4-6 translators from Slovenian into foreign languages for 4 weeks (or 1 month). The DSKP Residency Programme is aimed at promising or established foreign translators of fiction, humanities and social sciences who have published at least one literary translation or several shorter translations in printed monographs and/or in reference print or electronic media. Priority will be given to first-time applicants whose project will contribute to the promotion and dissemination of Slovenian fiction and humanities abroad. The residency is intended for independent and individual translation work.
The four-week residency can take place from 1 March 2022 until the end of 2022, between the first and the last day of the month, except July and August. The location is Dol pri Hrastniku, Slovenia (flat in 3rd floor, no lift).
The organisers provide:
- Free accommodation and final cleaning of the apartment.
- Local transport pass.
- Pass to use the local library.
- Free admission to local cultural institutions, one-off payment of a participation fee of €200 gross.
- Lump sum travel allowance of €200.
Applications must be submitted in Slovene language.
