The REF – Réseau Euromed France, in partnership with Mana Chuma Teatro are looking for 22 young active people from the Mediterranean to take part in the creation of an advocacy campaign on the obstacles of mobility faced by young people in the region.
Obstacles to mobility existing in the Mediterranean space between and inside countries are among the main obstacles to international and local cooperation. The issue of visas and related infrastructures are emblematic examples.
The goal of the project will be to launch an awareness and advocacy campaign which aims to draft an advocacy document on the obstacles to the mobility of young people in the Mediterranean. This campaign will be based on experiences and testimonies of participants as well as through a graphic booklet, videos and recommendations.
The cycle of activities will be based on an action training programme which includes:
- Three online workshops (one in December 2024, one in January and one in February 2025) on advocacy methods, communication tools and more
- One meeting in Reggio Calabria, Italy, (beginning of May 2024) where participants will take part in a large panel of activities such as workshops, meetings with local associations, creation of communication tools, and more.
Eligibility criteria:
- Between 18 and 30 years old if you are European and between 18 and 35 if you come from a non-European country
- Coming from: Algeria, Cyprus, Egypt, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Malta, Morocco, Palestine, Portugal, Syria, Tunisia or Turkey
- Engaged in civil society through an organisation or a personal project
- Languages: English / Arabic / Italian
All expenses related to the event (transport, accommodation, meals, etc.) will be covered by the organisers.
