Next Page Foundation in Sofia runs a residency programme that aims to connect residents to the Bulgarian literary and publishing field, and to the audiences and cultural life of Sofia.
The Foundation is currently inviting applications for three residency fellowships aimed at international literary translators and writers:
Translation in Motion residency fellowships: Eligible residents include translators of Bulgarian literature translating into the languages of the Western Balkan countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro). The residencies are part of the Translation in Motion project co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Commission.
Next Page residency fellowships: Offered to international writers and translators of Bulgarian literature from all around the world, and provided in cooperation with the National Culture Fund of Bulgaria.
Traduki fellowships: Eligible residents include writers as well as translators of Bulgarian literature from the Balkan countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia).
Residencies last 3-6 weeks. Fellows will receive a grant of 800 euro per month, as well as free accommodation and working facilities in Sofia.
