Generator Malta is the curatorial programme of the Malta Festival Poznań, thematically related to human rights, urbanisation, migration and nature, promoting social empathy, dialogue and value-creating art. For several years, a part of the programme has taken the form of an open competition for the artistic community.
The organisers invite visual and performance artists, dancers, researchers, activists to take part in the call ‘Zaklepane / Ground Rules’. They are looking for ideas for performative, site-specific or sound pieces, animations, installations, interventions or workshops reflecting on property rights and law in relation to the land/ground and the use of its resources. The winning projects will be presented in Wieniawski Park in Poznań, in a structure designed by Iwo Borkowicz and Ola Korbańska (iwola).
Every day a different resident will be given their own piece of independent land for 48 hours. Selected activities will become part of the Malta Generator programme. The budget for each project is PLN 4500 gross (~975 EUR).
