Hybrida AiR Residency, ‘Capture’ (Sweden)

Hybrida AiR is an art residency programme in Älvsbacka, in the west of Sweden, which will take place from 9 May - 26 June 2022.

The programme offers seven artists the chance to work on new individual projects, alongside each other, during six weeks on location in Sweden. The outcomes are presented in a two-week-long exhibition at the end of the residency. This year’s curatorial theme is [ capture ].

The residency covers:

  • Travel expenses up to 5000 SEK (~485 EUR).
  • Freight covered up to 1500 SEK (~1450 EUR).
  • Production budget up to 5000 SEK (~485 EUR).
  • Participation includes remuneration of 25,000 SEK (~2430 EUR) upon the completion of the residency.

The programme focus lies mostly on visual arts, yet practitioners of other artistic practices, such as writers, architects, theorists, film-makers, dancers, musicians, etc. are also welcome to apply.
