Earthwise Residency, in Mols, Denmark, is calling for applications from performing artists and visual artists with an interest in time-based work and performance who already have an initial contact to or an ongoing collaboration with a researcher for the Curious Encounters 5 residency, 1 September to 2 November 2026.
The interdisciplinary collaboration between artist and researcher should address the theme of multispecies relations and the more-than-human.
Curious Encounters is an opportunity for immersion and deep study with hills, trees and non-humans as main collaborators. The location is physically remote – with bicycles to take residents to the closest small towns. Applicants must have a genuine interest in interdisciplinary approaches and remote residencies – and their innate challenges – and preferably some experience of working with the-more-than-human.
Applicants must be able to travel and stay in Denmark for the duration of the residency without any need of visa.
