Slash Transition is searching for five new sound/music artists from Austria, France, Georgia, Portugal and Tunisia that are interested in participating in this programme involving training, residency and final European convention.
Slash Transition is an experimental project that tries to answer these questions: how can a sound artist accompany changes in a territory while consolidating his/her career in a more virtuous way? How can an artist play a role in the fabric of the city? For four years, the seven-partners cooperation will experiment with these questions. This experimentation will happen within 5 territories in transition: Innsbruck (Austria), Lisbon (Portugal), Nantes (France), Tbilisi (Georgia) and Tunis (Tunisia). A first round of the project was run between March 2023 and February 2025. The second round of the project started in March 2025 and will last until February 2027. Slash Transition is co-funded by the European Union as part of its Europe Creative programme.
Timeline:
- A ten-days training programme in Nantes (France) in December 2025, free of charge.
- A minimum three-week residency during 1st semester 2026, with a fair remuneration and with a dedicated production budget for the residency.
- Additional online meetings for exchanges and continuous reporting between September 2025 and November 2026 (around 1 per month)
- The final convention of the project in Lisbon (Portugal) in October 2026 with artwork displayed in parallel to the MIL Festival
