For the 12th year in a row, the Skopje Fellowship Programme will take place in Skopje, North Macedonia, during the International Literature Festival PRO-ZA Balkan (21-23 September 2025).
A total of 15 publishers, editors, and book professionals from Europe will have the opportunity to connect with publishers from North Macedonia, learn more about the market, and meet the writers participating in the PRO-ZA Balkan Festival. Seven publishers, editors and book professionals are being selected from the partners of the project ‘Our Little Library,’ and eight additional publishers will be selected. The criteria for successful application (preferably, but not exclusively) will be that the publishers come from bigger language areas from Europe and that they buy rights.
This edition of Skopje Fellowship Programme will be organised as part of the ‘Our Little Library’ project, co-funded by the EACEA.
Fellows will be selected on the basis of their alignment with the fellowship’s goals and their proven track record.
Support provided includes:
- Airfare (up to 300 EUR)
- Hotel accommodation
- Full board
- Local logistics (e.g. organised arrival and departure from and to the airport, local transport, touristic tour, etc.).
