Fermilab is America’s national laboratory dedicated to particle physics research. To initiate and to stimulate communication and interactions among scientists, artists, and the public, the laboratory has created an Artist-in-Residence programme and a Guest Composer programme and is seeking applications for the next cycle (running January – December 2023). This call is open to visual artists, composers, and other creators.
The artists will interact with scientists at the laboratory, and learn about their research and how it connects to society. This information will then be used to create a body of work, leading to presentations in the community and possibly an exhibition/concert of the work created through the Fermilab residency. A small stipend of 2000 USD will be provided by Fermi Research Alliance.
