BITE of Art 2.0 initiative, run by the consortium of cultural operators from Spain, Slovenia, Belgium, and Serbia, is calling for young emerging artists or groups (max. 3 people) to engage in shaping a future for the European continent and addressing environmental and climate change issues through socially engaging contemporary visual art performances.
The project is looking to support preparation, production, exhibition, and promotion of 4 socially engaging contemporary visual art performances produced by young emerging artists (aged 18-35) coming from various Creative Europe programme countries. These performances should address challenges and issues related to environment and climate change and will be performed on the streets of Ljubljana, Slovenia, within the festival ‘A Future of Europe: Code GREEN’, from 9-13 October 2023. All performances will be recorded and became a part of the permanent BITE Art Tour: Ljubljana edition, accessible to the visitors through the BITE of Art application.
Selected artists will receive production support including a grant of up to 1000 EUR. All expenses (travel, accommodation, meal and materials) of the artists’ participation at the festival in Ljubljana will be covered by the project.
