    News / Open Call for Caravan Residency Programme: Thinking with Alexandria (Italy, Egypt, France, Greece, Cyprus, Belgium, Italy)

    The Caravan Residency Programme is a year-long multi-city residency that invites artists, cultural practitioners, and activists to articulate and configure new modes of relating to and understanding urban, infrastructural, and social processes and formations. Residency activities take place from October 2021 – July 2022. Applications are open to emerging to mid-career artists in any discipline who reside in EU and a number of neighbouring countries.

  • News / A-Place: Video Production Open Call 2021

    As a member of the international collaboration A-Place, LOOP (a platform dedicated to the study and promotion of the moving image) will commission a video production to investigate the process of creating a sense of place in one of the six cities participating in the project (Barcelona, Bologna, Brussels, Lisbon, Ljubljana and Nicosia). Multidisciplinary artists who are legal residents in the European Union can apply.

    The conference ‘Dysfunctionalities in Contemporary Art | in Times of Conflict’ will take place 13 March 2021 at A.G. Leventis Gallery in Cyprus, and is inviting applications from potential speakers. The event will address Art and Artist’s rights under the prism and conditions of political tension, investigating the relationship between the artist and the political strategy of a state. The conference is planned to take place physically, but will move online if necessary.

    KYPRIA International Festival in Cyprus is issuing an international open call for proposals to select performing arts shows for the upcoming Festival that will take place during September and the 1st week of October 2021. Interested parties, artists and organisations from Cyprus and abroad are invited to submit their performing arts proposals (theatre, dance, music, opera, musical, performances for children, site-specific performances, etc.) plus proposals for performances in non-conventional venues (street theatre, town squares, etc.).

  • News / Buffer Fringe Performing Arts Festival > Open Call for Experimental Performance Works

    Buffer Fringe Performing Arts Festival (BFPAF) showcases new and experimental work by local and international artists. The 2020 edition will take place end of November – early December (dates tbc) with the theme ‘Displacement: people, ideas and artistic practice’. Proposals are invited for experimental work, of any form, that is inherently process-based and collaborative. Selected artists will share their creative process (online or offline) during autumn 2020 in the lead up to performing (preferably offline) during the festival. Deadline: 31 May 2020.
