Malba, Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires, Argentina, announces is calling for applications from international writers for the five-week 2025 Writers Residence organised by its Literature department.
The Residence Programme offers an urban experience that allows contact with diverse cultural manifestations of the city. It also has an agenda of activities and events that take place annually in order to support cooperation among authors, managers, local publishers and guest writers to promote artistic collaboration.
There is a grant for foreign writers, as well as a full grant for writers from Chile, Italy and Spain.
Authors willing to apply must have at least three published books (novel, short story, poetry, children’s literature, literary non-fiction). Academic papers and self-published works will not be considered. If not Spanish speaker, it is desirable (but not an exclusive condition) that the author has works translated into Spanish.

- Accommodation
- One stipend of 500 USD intended to contribute to various expenses for the duration of the programme (5 weeks).
- International travel insurance for the duration of their stay.
- Invited participants will have three encounters with general public (lectures, interviews) as a part of their residence activities.
- Malba Card that allows access to the activities programmed by the museum: exhibition halls, film and literature programs, and in the store and restaurant.
