This artistic research opportunity will allow an artist to create a science-meets-art body of work for nine months as a member of the Sydney Brenner Institute for Molecular Bioscience (SBIMB) at the University of the Witwatersrand.
The organisers encourage applications from practicing artists in any creative discipline, with a minimum of a Masters degree, who wish to engage in high-level long-term interdisciplinary artistic research at the Sydney Brenner Institute for Molecular Bioscience.
The value of the residency package is 360,000 ZAR, for a six-month residence on site plus a three-month follow up. The funding includes relocation costs, medical aid, and research expenses.
