Life Long Burning is a multi-year cooperation project implemented by 12 partner organisations. The LLB project provides tailored support for artists who want to develop their contemporary dance work. Each participating network partner commits to support an artist/group of artists for 2 years and provides support to them through the network’s means.
Participation is open to all artists, regardless of age, gender, nationality, working in the contemporary dance scene who:
- Are emerging/mid-career artists who can demonstrate that receiving two years’ support would help them achieve a milestone in their career and long-term plans.
- Have the availability over the 2-year period to participate in a series of network artist residencies/workshops and dedicated meetings. These activities will take place in different countries in Europe, to be determined over time through the network.
- Speak fluent English.
- Are active on the Romanian art scene or are interested in developing personal projects in collaboration with it.
Benefits:
- Residency opportunities with LLB network partners (at any stage of a project, not necessarily a production).
- Financial support during the 2-year cycle, which can be used freely as co-production, structural support or for other expenses related to artistic activities.
- International networking opportunity, including introductions to the team, project partners, international colleagues and artistic communities.
- Ongoing consultation with the 4Culture Association for professional development support.
- Access to the WASP Working Art Space and Production in Bucharest, Romania which can be used for performances or workshops aimed at artistic development.
