Cultural Centre of Rokiškis: Open Call for Baltic/Nordic Artworks for the Festival ‘Start 2022’ (Lithuania)

Organised by the Culture Centre of Rokiškis, the international contemporary art festival ‘Start 2022’ is the biggest event of its kind in Panevėžys County (Northeast Lithuania). Each year the festival presents Lithuanian and international contemporary artworks which use unique approaches and practices to push the boundaries in social, ecological and performance art.

The festival is now calling for performances and art installations that push the boundaries between the audience and artist, and that combine different art forms – music, dance, theatre, visual arts, etc. – or that don’t fit in a single category. The festival itself for 29 August – 4 September 2022. (dates to be confirmed).

The call is open only for artists based in the Baltic or Nordic regions. It should be possible to present (or easily adapt) proposed works to outdoor or non-traditional venues.

The festival covers project costs (including logistics, creation material, etc.) up to 500 EUR and provides an honorarium of 300 EUR per person. It also provides accommodation.
