Outdoor Art Lab is a residency programme focused on the development of performances in public spaces in the city centre of Split, outside the controlled conditions of traditional theatre venues. It was created as a response to the growing transformation of the city under tourism pressure, where everyday life and local presence are being displaced.
The programme encourages artistic research that engages in dialogue with urban daily life, questions its changes, and brings content back to the local community.
Residencies last 14 days and take place between January and June 2026. The programme is open to artists from Europe, regardless of their level of experience, working in contemporary circus, performance, and related practices.
Participants are provided with production and communications support, local networking opportunities, and a budget of 800 EUR to cover travel and accommodation costs.
