In the lead-up to the 2025 edition of On the Move’s Cultural Mobility Forum, the Pre-forum Webinars will bring together perspectives from a range of stakeholders to explore the theme of international mobility for young and emerging arts professionals.
The outcomes of the Pre-forum Webinars will contribute to shaping the overall programme of the main forum. Moreover, they aim to enhance understanding of the challenges and needs faced by young arts professionals, while also supporting the development of policy recommendations to drive transformation towards more sustainable ecosystems.
Join us for an insightful discussion featuring a diverse panel of public and private funders dedicated to fostering the internationalisation of artistic practices. The session will spotlight initiatives from the Latvian Ministry of Culture, the Acción Cultural Española, and Ettijahat. Additionally, a young expert will share their reflections and key takeaways, providing a fresh perspective on the impact of these programmes.
The panelists are Laura Turlaja (Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia), Marta Rincón Areitio (Head of Visual Arts, Architecture, and Design at Spain’s Public Agency for Cultural Action), and Ayham Abu Shaqra (programme manager at Ettijahat-Independent Culture).
Moderator: Yohann Floch, Director of operations, On the Move.
Rapporteur: Katrīna Dūka, a creative producer, theatre-maker, and researcher based in Latvia.
