Mishkal Project invites applications for production grants to participate in the inaugural edition of Ramallah Design Week 2026. The implementation period is from May 2025 to June 2026 and the programme includes mentorship opportunities with international experts.
This inaugural design week will focus on the deeply rooted Palestinian traditions, empowering emerging and professional designers to reimagine and reinvent the past through innovative and sustainable designs. This opportunity is a platform to showcase works that combine authenticity and creativity and emphasises the Palestinian identity in innovative and impactful ways.

- Emerging and established Palestinian designers (local and from the diaspora).
- Artisans with expertise in traditional Palestinian techniques
- Students, start-ups, cultural entrepreneurs, and creatives in design, art, and culture.
- International designers in collaborating with Palestinian peers and interested in fostering partnerships with Palestinian artisans and creatives.
- Artisans and craftspeople with a focus on traditional Palestinian techniques.
- Academic institutions specialising in design, art, and cultural studies.
Support
- Production Grants: up to 30 grants between 4,000 EUR and 9,000 EUR to fund designs.
- Mentorship Opportunities: one-on-one sessions with Palestinian diaspora designers, leading international experts, and design pioneers.
- Capacity Building: through workshops and hands-on training.
- Networking & Collaboration: with a global community of designers, artisans, and cultural leaders.
