Afghanistan

The Impart and Nalli Fellowships, a collaboration between Nalli Silks (a heritage textile brand established in 1928) and Impart (an online platform dedicated to developing accessible resources on South Asia’s art histories), is calling for applications for research into underexplored textile-related histories, practices, and traditions across South Asia.

Created in partnership with UC Berkeley School of Law, “Artistic Exodus” highlights the ongoing risks that Afghan artists and cultural workers face in Afghanistan and exposes the serious systemic problems facing refugee artists during migration and resettlement in host countries.
