The second edition of Moving Balkans Contemporary Dance Showcase will be held in Novi Sad (Serbia) from 13–16 May 2026.
The festival will present 10 contemporary dance productions, and 6 Dance Scape project pitches from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Türkiye and offer opportunities to meet, exchange ideas, interact with the audience and dance professionals, and become part of a large artistic network.
The selected performances will be presented in Novi Sad to the general public as well as to international professionals in the field of contemporary dance. Furthermore, the works will also benefit from the network touring scheme.
The submitted work must be a contemporary dance performance with a minimum duration of 20 minutes. The submitted work must have been premiered in professional conditions and contexts to the general public no more than two years prior to the deadline of this open call. Works in progress will not be accepted. The authors must have at least two years of prior professional experience as choreographers (proof of two works created in professional context).
