Art in Lov Residence have an open call for two individual artists based in Europe who focus on the relationship between dance and music, film, or visual design for the artist residency project ‘Dance Relationship’, from 7 January to 7 March 2025 in Loviisa, Finland.

The Hamburg Ministry for Culture and Media is inviting applications for eight three-month residencies in 2025 and 2026 in the Westwerk artists’ centre in Hamburg.

The Arvo Pärt Centre welcomes artists from all over the world to work, create and find inspiration. The residency is open for composers and performers as well as creators from other fields – writers, visual artists, architects, film and dance artists. It welcomes solo artists as well as smaller ensembles, collectives or small working groups (up to 4 people).

In the context of the European project SPECTRAL, Mire, an organisation dedicated to experimental cinema and the moving image, is launching an open call for a one-month residency (10 June -7 July 2024), dedicated to the creation of cinematic performances for urban spaces that utilise the film medium. The residency is for groups of 2-3 people and will be held in the Breil-Malville neighbourhood, located in the north-west of Nantes, France.

The University of Johannesburg’s artists in residence programme is now accepting applications for 2024. The UJ Artists in Residence Programme welcomes applications from emerging and established artists, from across the globe, but preferably with a link to Africa. Applications for both physical and remote residencies are possible.

Artemista Culture Centre is looking for 3 dancers or dance theatre artists and 2 video makers with the skills to independently curate their own choreographies for a 60-day residency in Italy from 10 January – 9 March 2023.

With this call, the DECONFINING project is looking for artists working in the moving image (e.g. video, animation, film, digital and found footage, etc.) who are willing to develop a new work of art at residencies in Wrocław, Poland and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Applicants must come from or be based in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Kenya, Poland, Rwanda, Slovakia, Tanzania, Uganda or Zambia.

Applications are currently open for Tokyo Arts and Space (TOKAS)’s International Creator Residency Programme, targeted at individual creators working in visual arts, film, design and architecture. Residencies last three months, taking place in 2024 and 2025. Applicants should reside outside of Japan and have 5 years or more of experience in their specialised area of expertise. Both individuals and duo creators can apply.
