Two blurred shapes on a stage, one dancing and one with a cello.

Through the open call for the Croatian Circus Residency Network, associations Cirkorama, Cirkus Kolektiv, Čarobnjakov šešir, House Collective, K.V.A.R.K., Prostor Plus and ROOM 100 are opening their spaces and resources to host artistic residencies for regional contemporary circus artists.

The Circus Residency Network plans to support up to 7 residencies, each lasting a maximum of 15 days, to be completed by the end of 2026.

The call is intended for artists and collectives of contemporary circus and outdoor arts from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Kosovo. This call is intended to support the production of all-night performances or short forms that are still in the creation phase (finished productions are not eligible). Special consideration will be given to projects demonstrating innovation, originality, critical thinking, reflexivity, engagement, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Circus residential network provides: travel expenses, accommodation and per diems; space and technical conditions for the residency; organisation of a work-in-progress presentation and guided feedback with the audience; a multi-day lab on the topic of circus dramaturgy; mentoring in the area of work production and online education on preparing a project proposal.
