Mophradat: Residency in Kampala for Composers and Bands from the Arab World (Uganda)Mophradat has partnered with Nyege Nyege Villa in Kampala to provide a residency for a composer/s (with up to two collaborators) or a band comprised of maximum three musicians from the Arab world to spend focused time working on a specific project, creating new compositions, or exploring and researching new ideas. Applicants will be selected from Uganda, Malawi, Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mozambique. The first stage of the programme will be a residential Mentoring and Training Workshop, held in Uganda from 8-14 March 2020. Following the workshop, fellows will be invited to apply for seed funding.
