Applications are now open for the Aerowaves Podcast Academy 2027. The Podcast Academy is an Aerowaves initiative designed to master a valuable tool for dance and performance promotion.
This programme offers online mentoring (Feb–Apr 2027) and in‑person practice at Spring Forward, taking place 13–17 April 2027 in Limerick (Ireland). Participants will learn the fundamentals of podcasting guided by Dany Mitzman, broadcast journalist and presenter/producer of Spring Forecast.
After the festival, participants will work on editing and mixing their audio, and structuring and scripting their episodes, with production support whenever required. All participants will meet together online for a troubleshooting and feedback session at the end of June or early July. At the end of September, participants will publish one or more episodes as part of Spring Forecast under Mitzman’s editorial guidance.
Aerowaves is looking for three participants based in Europe, proficient in spoken English and curious about contemporary dance. No previous podcast experience is required.
As well as being mentored, the successful applicants will receive travel costs, accommodation, hospitality, and a pass to the Spring Forward festival.
