- News / KORDON: Food and Energy Lab for Artists from the Nordic and Baltic Region (Estonia)KORDON invites artists from the Nordic and Baltic region to join a long-term lab and residency process aimed at widening the understanding of food in relation to energy. Each artist will be invited for approx. 11 weeks of residency divided between three different time periods of approx. 1 month. The full cycle will run from summer/autumn 2023 to summer 2024.
- News / More-than-Planet: Residencies in Research Stations in Pyhäsalmi Mine and Oulanka National Park (Finland)As part of the European project More-than-Planet, Finnish partner Photo North - Northern Photographic Centre is launching an open call for artists for two residency programmes in 2023 and 2024 at Pyhäsalmi Mine and Oulanka National Park in Finland. The programme aims to re-examine the way people understand and picture the environment on the level of the planet as a conceptual whole. The residency is open to all forms of art but places an emphasis on artistic practices that employ lens-based techniques.
- News / La Biennale di Venezia: Biennale College Architettura (Italy)The Curator of the Biennale Architettura 2023, Lesley Lokko, invites applications from graduate students, graduates, early career academics and emerging practitioners for the first-ever Biennale College Architettura which will run from 25 June - 22 July 2023 in Venice, Italy. Applications are open to: graduate students under the age of 30; graduates under the age of 30; early career academics and educators under the age of 35; and early career practitioners under the age of 35.
- News / A Sea Change: Open Call for Production/research Residencies and Presentation of ArtworksAs part of the international cooperation project A Sea Change, KONTEJNER is organising one open call for a two-week residency programme from 8-21 May 2023 at the Mediterranean Institute for Life Sciences (MedILS) in Split, Croatia, and a second for participation in an exhibition and performance programme in Split, 18-22 May 2023, with existing artworks. Residency applicants must be EU residents or taxpayers in an EU member country.

The topic of the open call is the socioeconomic and environmental impact of current electronic production and waste. 1 artistic idea will be selected for realisation from May - August 2023 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
- News / Hydromedia: Visual Arts Residency on the Scheldt Estuary in Antwerp (Belgium)In the first call from the European project Hydromedia, four selected residents will work in the Scheldt Estuary, the ecological zone alongside the Scheldt, a living climate laboratory, and a rare phenomenon worldwide. The residency takes place over April 2023 and is open to visual artists currently living in Europe and/or who have the nationality of one of the countries that are part of the EU.
- News / European Marine Board: Artist Residency Programme, ‘EMBracing the Ocean’The European Marine Board’s artist in residence programme ‘EMBracing the Ocean’ provides grants for creative individuals or groups to co-create work with Ocean scientists. It aims to inspire wide reaching societal change for Ocean sustainability by expanding societies’ understanding of the Ocean’s value and the urgency of ensuring its health and resilience now and into the future. The residency will take place remotely, but may include visits to collaborating researchers and/or participation in events.
- News / Institute for the Cooperative Digital Economy: Fellowship Programme (India)The New School’s Institute for the Cooperative Digital Economy is seeking applications for its 2023/2024 cohort of Fellows that will focus on the nexus of the climate crisis, the digital economy, and cooperatives. Two artists are also sought to join the cohort. The Fellowship programme will run for one year, beginning on 15 March 2023, and will provide Fellows with a stipend to attend the 2023 conference, likely in India.
