The Hartwig Art Foundation Fellowships at Performa in New York City will provide a training programme for the next generation of curators, producers and archivists. One fellowship will foster curatorial and production acumen, and will engage curators directly in the Performa commissioning process from concept to presentation. A second fellowship will be focused on the Performa Archive and will include research and scholarship, as well as curating of archival material for online and IRL exhibitions. The two positions begin in March 2023 and run for approximately 18 months.

Carnegie Hall Perspectives artist Mitsuko Uchida will work with up-and-coming pianists in a special masterclass on 1 March 2023 in the Resnick Education Wing. A travel stipend and hotel accommodation are available for invited participants from outside the New York City area.

C4: The Choral Composer/Conductor Collective, a New York City-based new music chorus, invites composers, especially BIPoC composers, to submit unperformed choral works with a conceptual connection to William Shakespeare, to be performed on C4’s spring 2023 concert in New York City.

With support from the University of Michigan Arts Initiative, Taubman College Visualization Laboratory (TVLab) is seeking artists working with extended reality (XR) technology. This opportunity combines artistic practice, expansive research methods, and an openness to experiment and explore possibilities within the context of an R1 Research University. Activities will run February - April 2023.

The Recanati-Kaplan Prize will be awarded to one creator, cultural expert, or scholar from the Arab world. A two-month residency will be offered to the winner, along with a grant, for a stay at one of Villa Albertine’s ten US cities.

Antikythera’s five-month speculative design-research Studio will run from February to June 2023. Studio Researchers from diverse professional backgrounds will take part in collaborative design briefs, theory seminars, and technical workshops to create projects contributing to a growing body of research building on the programme’s theme of ‘planetary computation’. Activities take place in Los Angeles, Mexico City and Seoul.

PEN America, a non-profit organisation working at the intersection of literature and human rights, is seeking to fill two senior manager positions: Senior Manager, Protection Programs and Senior Manager, International Programs. Both are new full-time positions expected to be based at PEN America’s New York office.

Each year, Beam Center seeks design proposals for ambitious public artworks that will be brought to life through collaborations between youth and creative big thinkers. Projects are realised by a community of more than 100 young people at three project sites: in New Hampshire (NH), on Governors Island (GI), and in a local NYC community. Individuals and collectives can submit proposals.

OneBeat is accepting applications for OneBeat 11 & 12, two in-person United States-based arts exchange programmes set to run in the spring and autumn of 2023. OneBeat begins with an opening residency, when Fellows collaborate to create original material, record new musical ideas, and incubate new projects. OneBeat Fellows then go on tour, performing for a wide array of American audiences, collaborating with local musicians, and leading workshops with youth.

Thoughtworks Arts seeks two artists-in-residence for separate but parallel residencies on-site at Mars.college, an educational programme, R&D Lab and off-grid residential community in the desert area of Bombay Beach, California. Artists are invited to apply to develop a project on one of two themes: ‘Speculative Futures - Do It There, Take It Back To The Neighborhood’ or ‘Alternative AI Creative Infrastructures - The Sky’s The Limit’. Mandatory dates of the programme run from 1 January to 31 March 2023.

A joint initiative spearheaded and curated by Ginkgo Bioworks and design agency Faber Futures, the Ginkgo Creative Residency (GCR) provides an experimental platform for creative thinkers to explore both the potential and implications of synthetic biology. The next residency will run from 12 October 2022 – 27 January 2023.

Art Omi: Artists Residency nurtures deep creative and professional connections in a vibrant social setting. Two critics/curators are invited to join two dozen international artists and help facilitate the progamme. The residency runs from 23 June - 17 July 2023.
