Arbola, the festival that celebrates the culture of trees, is launching a call for the selection of 3-6 projects by artists and cultural professionals from Creative Europe countries who are interested in exploring the poetic and symbolic power of trees. The residencies will take place at at Antartika Kultur Container, a space for culture and social activism located in the centre of Pamplona (Navarra).

FREEYOU Next is looking for 3 digital creatives, to join a 6-month fellowship programme and develop projects around young people’s digital literacy. The fellowship will run November 2023 - May 2024, with online meetings, online mentorship, and a physical residency of at least two weeks with a partner organisation.

Medialab Matadero are calling for projects for the LAB#03 Collaborative Prototyping Lab, an intensive two-week workshop coordinated by internationally renowned experts/artists to collectively develop projects related to the theme of Synthetic Minds. The laboratory will take place in person at the Matadero Madrid facilities, between 24 January – 10 February 2024.

S+T+ARTS AIR is launching a new S+T+ARTS residencies programme focused on two main themes: Resilient Interspecies Urban Ecosystems and Human AI Ecosystems. Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents in Member States of the European Union and its Overseas Countries and Territories (OCT) or Associated Countries to Horizon Europe.

The research project PALIMPSEST is looking for architects, designers, artists, and creative agents to work on imagining and experimenting with new ways to respond to environmental problems in three laboratories at pilot landscapes. Applicants must be established in one of the eligible countries: the Member States of the European Union, and countries associated with Horizon Europe.

The S+T+ARTS in the City residencies programme aims to enhance art-driven innovation at local level and human-centred technologies, such as artificial intelligence, robotics, new digital media, smart cities, high performance computing, data science, or biotechnologies. 11 artists will be supported through a programme that includes a 9-month residency at a Regional S+T+ARTS Centre, beginning in October 2023.

Theatre in Palm, an international project funded by Creative Europe, is hosting a Hybrid Residency on 6–17 November 2023. During the 2-week residency you will work with 10 local artists and 20 international artists, both live and online. The residency will end with 4–12 co-produced, new theatre pieces that are shared online with the whole group of 120 artists, plus 12 mentors, and the rest of the online world. Applicants must be resident in EU countries.

European artists, or collectives can apply to the EMAP residency programme with a project proposal for a residency of two months in 2024. The artists will be collaborating with an artist of their choice or an artist local to the platform’s host institutions.

The fourth edition of Transversal Aesthetics invites working processes to be developed around the concepts of ‘silenced ~ reactivated’. Applicants can apply to work on this theme in one of three possible cities/contexts - Alicante, València and Benicarló - with working taking place late 2023 or early 2024.

The CRECE project is a circus creation laboratory led by the Carampa Circus School and supported by FEDEC, aimed at artists/students recently graduated from a school or who are in their last year of school, to create a show together, which could include short forms (acts: 5-8 minutes) or pieces of intermediate duration with several artists (10-15 minutes).

Under the Moving Identities project, 6 European residency institutions are looking for companies of established performing artists of 2-5 people based in Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Norway, and Spain. The programme targets applicants who can relate to / explore themes of diversity and inclusion within European Identities.

The Global Cultural Relations Programme (GCRP) is a unique opportunity to create meaningful connections and discuss cross-cultural collaborations. This year both cultural and creative professionals and those working in the field of climate change and environmental issues are invited to apply. The GCRP will take place in Madrid, Spain from 10-13 October 2023.
