The objective of this call is to facilitate the production of art and knowledge at different stages and levels at Bulegoa z/b. The residency, which is open to artists and researchers, will last for a month and include space and discursive and financial resources.

In the framework of the European project Who Cares?, Centro Huarte is offering an international residency programme for two or more artists, taking place from 1 September to 24 October 2021. Projects are encouraged to investigate care and affective practices in relation to the current moment we are living through. Applicants should have an EU passport or be based in an EU member state and preferably be fluent in the local languages (Spanish and/or Basque).

The Summer Sessions are short-term international art and technology residencies for emerging artists and designers. Artists and designers working with art and technology are eligible to apply if they are under the age of 35 and/or have graduated within the past five years, and live in a country where there is a Summer Sessions sponsoring partner (Netherlands, Taiwan, Spain, Austria, Russia, China, South Korea, Croatia and Belgium). Each Summer Sessions residency lasts approximately eight weeks and takes place between July and September.

Teatre Lliure in Barcelona and Nowy Teatr International Cultural Centre in Warsaw are looking for a research project in tangential fields of the performing arts that could be fuelled by the interaction between Poland and Catalonia, Spain. One applicant will be chosen from Catalonia and one from Poland to collaborate with residencies in the two regions in March and April 2022.

Espacio Inestable (a performing arts venue in Valencia) and BenAmil (a rural artists’ residence in the Valencian mountains) are organising the first call for the (2+2)2 project. This project will offer four creative residencies aimed at national and international dance and circus proposals for artists from outside the Valencian Region. Circus residencies take place 3-9 September 2021 and dance residencies from 22-28 November 2021.

PEN Català, in collaboration with the Ramon Llull Institute and with the support of the European Union, is opening a call for young, emerging writers who wish to take part in a literary residency at Faberllull in Olot, Catalonia from 1-8 October 2021. Applicants must have nationality or residency in one of the member countries of the European project Be(P)art - Belgium, Spain, Hungary, and Serbia - and write in Catalan, Dutch, Galician, Hungarian, and Serbo-Croatian.

As a member of the international collaboration A-Place, LOOP (a platform dedicated to the study and promotion of the moving image) will commission a video production to investigate the process of creating a sense of place in one of the six cities participating in the project (Barcelona, Bologna, Brussels, Lisbon, Ljubljana and Nicosia). Multidisciplinary artists who are legal residents in the European Union can apply.

Constellations Intermediterranean Gazes will select two young artists to develop a project on the theme of migration and borders in the Mediterranean context. They will undertake two one-month residencies at Lumière d’Encre and Es Far Cultural, located in Ceret (Occitania) and Es Mercadal (Menorca), in the spring-summer period of 2021. Their work will later be shown at the Fotolimo Festival before forming a travelling exhibition.

The residences at Konvent have the goal of becoming a platform to aid artists and creators by providing the adequate conditions of space and concentration required for investigation in a unique environment such is the Cal Rosal textile colony. Konvent has an International open call for creators with no restrictions of age, origin nor discipline and that are interested in undertaking a research or creation project at Konvent.

ÆFLUENTS is a project powered by the Euroregion Pyrenees Mediterranee and led by the Association of Integral Management of Sociocultural Services Idea (Idea Cultural Association) (Catalonia), and counts with the cooperation of cultural organisations such as the Centre for Investigation and Contemporary Culture Casa Planas (Balearic Isles), RZM collective (Catalonia) and Slash Culture (Occitanie). Gender and place of origin are indifferent, but the applicant must be resident in Catalonia, the Balearic Islands or Occitanie. Deadline: 21 March 2021.

The organisers of the Creadores (Creators) Exhibition in Valladolid, Spain are inviting applications from artists to show their work and participate in internal debates around the event. This call is open to artists born or resident in cities of the CreArt network: Genoa and Lecce, Italy; Liverpool, UK; Clermont - Ferrand and Rouen, France; Zagreb, Croatia (member of HDLU); Kaunas, Lithuania; Lublin and Katowice, Poland; Aveiro, Portugal; Skopje, Macedonia. Artists from Genoa should be under 35.

Incubator is one of ENCC’s flagship capacity building programmes. It supports mid-to-senior-levels professionals from cultural centres and other cultural organisations who want to develop a European cooperation project. ENCC members are the main targets of the programme, which is fully funded for them, but there are also a few slots for non-members to participate. The programme includes a consultancy retreat scheduled to happen at Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain), on 23-25 June 2021.
