The transeuropa festival is seeking guest performances from Europe for the 11th edition of the festival (11–15 September 2024 in Hildesheim, Germany), on the theme ‘making space’. Since 1994 the international festival brings together the young independent performing arts scene from all around Europe. The festival aims to provide a space for people and their experiences, especially for people whose voices are often unheard or who are excluded from decision-making processes, events or educational opportunities.

Running all year round since 2002, the residency programme is at the heart of PACT Zollverein’s day to day work. The programme is open to professional artists from Germany and abroad who work in the areas of dance, performance, media arts or music and who are closely linked to PACT’s two other core strands of activity in presenting work and facilitating research and development. This initiative is a key element in PACT Zollverein’s profile as an Artists’ House supporting lively exchange between practice and theory.

The DYSTOPIA Biennial in Berlin is calling for proposals for its upcoming edition in 2024, with a focus on India. The open call is addressed to sound artists living/working on the Indian subcontinent, as well as across the European region. The exhibition will open on 6 September 2024 and run until 29 September 2024 (tbc).

The City of Hamburg is launching an art competition for the design of a new Denk-Ort (monument - contemplative space) for sexual and gender diversity, to be realised from autumn 2024.

In the years 2024/2025, the Climate Action Artist Residencies invite a total of eight artists from all artistic fields to complete three-month long residencies with an environmental research organisation. Two artists from Germany and six from the three V20 countries in the Asia/Pacific region – Fiji, Philippines, and Samoa – will be selected.

As part of the Sustainability by Design transfer project, Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, Germany is offering two artist / designer in residence scholarships from 1 May 2024 - 31 October 2024 on the topics of bio-based materials and technology and sustainability.

For the fourth time, the International Photoszene Köln is organising the Artist Meets Archive programme in cooperation with the photographic collections and archives of the City of Cologne. The residency will take place in summer 2024 and will be scheduled according to the living and logistical situation of the participating artists.
