The iMAL space in Brussels is launching a second call for XR artistic projects in the context of the Realities in Transition project. The selected artist(s) will be offered a residency at iMAL in March/April 2024, under the mentorship of the immersive performance pioneers of CREW Brussels. The call is open to all emerging creatives who are European residents.

European Digital Deal is now calling on artists interested in exploring the deep entanglement between new technologies and democracy to apply for one of 12 residencies. Applicants can individuals or groups.

This project calls upon young artists and student artists, aged 18-30, to be Changemakers in their communities. In early 2024, selected Changemakers will mobilise citizens, especially underrepresented groups, using art and culture as tools to enhance political participation. 52 Changemakers across 14 EU countries will be selected to participate in the Changemakers’ Playground Camp, a one-week training programme hosted in Belgium from 10-16 February 2024.

Orpheus Instituut in Ghent is an international centre of excellence primarily focused on artistic research in music. It is now looking for doctoral researchers who are interested in joining one of the following research clusters: Declassifying the Classics: Technology, Rhetoric, and Performance, 1750–1850; Resounding Libraries: Unfolding Archived Knowledge Through Artistic Research; HIPEX (Historically Informed Performance Practices of Experimental Music); Music, Thought and Technology; Metamusic: Shaping Musical Practices for the Posthuman Age.

The Goethe-Institut Brussels is recruiting from as soon as possible until 30 June 2025 a project assistant (f/m/d) for the EU-funded project Culture Moves Europe with a permanent employment contract, and a scope of employment of 100% (38 per week) at its Brussels site.

FREEYOU Next is looking for 3 digital creatives, to join a 6-month fellowship programme and develop projects around young people’s digital literacy. The fellowship will run November 2023 - May 2024, with online meetings, online mentorship, and a physical residency of at least two weeks with a partner organisation.

For its research residencies, the European project tekhnē welcomes artists, researchers, art educators and cultural workers working with and around autonomous and experimental approaches to technology, and reflections about what can be considered technology. Residency lengths vary between two and six weeks, between December 2023 and December 2024.

MDD and MORPHO present a Writing Residency at Woning Van Wassenhove between 24 November - 22 December 2023. This residency allows an artist to further their writing practice. The call is open to any applicant over 18 years of age legally permitted to travel and reside in Belgium for the duration of the residency.

Musea Brugge is looking for programmers to develop an artistic programme for its new BRUSK exhibition hall. BRUSK will open its doors with a festival running from 18 October 2025 – 8 May 2026 (weekends and holidays only).
