IFACCA - International Federation of Arts Councils and Culture Agencies

Prepared between November 2019 and March 2020, Supporting Culture in the Digital Age explores how the digital age has changed the cultural value chain. It draws on existing literature and insights provided by national members of IFACCA – the International Federation of Arts Councils and Culture Agencies, as well as a range of actors from across the cultural ecosystem.

This report looks at the various ways in which cultural networks operate, including their resources, membership, funding and activities, views on the purpose of cultural networks, challenges and potential solutions, and their vision for the future. On the Move together with other member-organisations (IETM, FACE, Trans Europe Halles, RES ARTIS etc) are featured in this report.

D’Art 48 presents the results of the online survey on International Entrepreneurship in the Arts, disseminated among members of the International Federation of Arts Councils and Culture Agencies in May–June 2015. The IFACCA Secretariat assisted Dr Lidia Varbanova, international consultant in strategies and entrepreneurship in the arts and creative industries, in her research on this topic by working with her to develop the questionnaire and distributing it to the IFACCA network.

The report includes best practices from around the world and recommendations for enhancing the level of inclusion of environmental sustainability in cultural policy making and action.

Arts advocacy is a key challenge, one shared by government agencies and arts communities around the world. This report (updated December 2013) provides a platform for the exchange of information and ideas about arts advocacy by exploring a range of campaigns currently being undertaken or planned by national arts funding agencies.

In October 2012, IFACCA conducted a survey of its members to understand more about global trends in government support for artist residencies, in preparation for the Res Artis General Meeting in Tokyo, Japan. The report considers government support for artist residencies, objectives and outcomes of residencies, mapping of residencies, funding opportunities, evaluation and future actions.

D’Art Report No. 40 describes the agencies involved in supporting international arts activities, the scope of and budgets for this support, and the range of policy objectives, priorities and evaluation processes evident in the research.
