  • Lugar Futuro Festival: Call for New and First Dance Works (Portugal)

    Lugar Futuro Festival aims to promote young dance creators and performers and to be a platform for the premiere of ‘new works’, as well as for the presentation of ‘first works’ by dance students or young choreographers. Performances will be held between 12 and 14 November 2021 in Viseu, Portugal.

    The Finnish National Opera and Ballet and the digital culture festival Assembly are calling for teams to propose creative technological concepts that take live performance to new heights. This is an invitation to reimagine the experience of opera performance in the age of omnipresent digitality. A group of finalists will be chosen to continue to develop their concept with a team of experts and mentors over August-September 2021, working online/remotely.

  • Who Cares?: Open Call for ‘Transversal Aesthetics / IMMUNITY – COMMUNITY’ (Spain / Remote)

    Idensitat and Centro de Arte Contemporáneo de Huarte are offering a residency to one artist, or collective of artists, to develop a project within the social context of the towns of Huarte, Burlada and Villava (Navarra) and under the theme ‘Immunity Community’. The residency is proposed as a hybrid of on-site and remote work in order to complete the project. The on-site period will last approximately five weeks between October 2021 and April 2022.

  • Sapporo Tenjinyama Art Studio: Remote Residency (Online)

    In 2021, in accordance with measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, Sapporo Tenjinyama Art Studio's residency programme for visual artists is accepting remote participation (online residency) where physical presence is not required. The residency will last 60 days from 31 August – 29 October 2021. Applicants must have a nationality other than Japanese and live in a country other than Japan.

  • Call for Entries for NTAA – New Technological Art Award (Belgium)

    The New Technological Art Award (NTAA) tries to fill in a gap in the mainstream art world by paying attention to the technological developments that drive our global culture. This international competition is open to all age groups and to all nationalities. Artists can present their candidacy for one art work less than two years old at the time of its submission, but which may already have been exhibited. Selected works will be shown 5 February – 13 March 2022 at the Liedts-Meesen Foundation in Ghent.

  • Phileas: Funding for the Internationalisation of Austrian Contemporary Art

    Phileas is an independent philanthropic organisation based in Vienna that raises private funding to support and co-produce ambitious projects within the field of contemporary art. A particular focus lies on the commission and production of exhibitions by Austrian artists abroad. Phileas also organises and funds research trips for international curators and critics to Austrian museums, galleries and artists’ studios. Applications are now open to institutions who wish to apply for project funding in 2022.

    Open Call for International Theatre, Art and New Technologies Festival, ‘The Wonders of Possible’ (Italy)

    Organised by Kyber Theatre, the 8th Edition of the International Theatre, Art and New Technologies Festival ‘The Wonders of Possible’ will take place in Cagliari, Italy between November and December 2021. The current open call, addressed to Italian and international artists, is for projects on the topic of ‘Interaction between arts and technology’. Two winners will be selected, with one place open to artists and companies of any nationality or age, and a second place open to emerging companies/groups (maximum of 3 people) and individual artists under 35.

  • Fondation d'entreprise Hermès: New Settings Programme (France)

    With its annual New Settings programme, the Fondation d’entreprise Hermès supports the creation and distribution of new performance works. The programme aims at supporting hybrid performances which have a prominent visual dimension. Selected projects will receive production support and then be programmed at partner venues in Paris during the 2022-2023 season.

  • Medinea: Intercultural and Improvised Music Training Sessions (Portugal, Tunisia, France, Italy)

    Medinea (MEDiterranean INcubator of Emerging Artists) supports the professional integration of young Mediterranean musicians. It is now inviting applications for four training sessions in Lisbon (Portugal), Sidi Bou Said (Tunisia), Aix-en-Provence (France), and Nuoro (Italy) to explore intercultural and improvised music with the help of the jazzman and composer Fabrizio Cassol. Each session has its own dates and deadline.

  • Digital Lab Africa

    The fifth edition of Digital Lab Africa, the first mentorship and incubation program for African creatives in innovative and digital content, has launched its next call for applications. DLA is calling on artists, producers, designers, collectives, students or entrepreneurs from both creative and cultural industries, including from across Sub-Saharan Africa to apply. For its fifth edition, Digital Lab Africa is switching to a fully online format.

    Le Fonds de mobilité Indianocéanique est un programme de la mission de coopération culturelle Afrique et Caraïbes de l'Institut français avec le soutien du Ministère de la Culture (Directions des affaires culturelles de La Réunion et de Mayotte et Direction générale de la création artistique).
    Ce programme soutient la mobilité à l’intérieur de la zone Indianocéanique (pays membres de la COI - l’Union des Comores ; la France au titre de La Réunion ; Madagascar ; Maurice ; les Seychelles.- et les départements français d’outre-mer de l’océan Indien) et en direction du Mozambique, de la Tanzanie et du Kenya.
