- Open Call for Artistic Intervention at Fragmentos, Espacio de Arte y Memoria (Colombia)
Fragmentos, Espacio de Arte y Memoria, part of the National Museum of Colombia, through the Ministry of Culture invites plastic and visual artists, as well as artists with transdisciplinary vocations, to carry out an artistic intervention in its space. The artwork must deal with the Colombian conflict, international armed conflicts, victims’ memories, and the construction of peace; it may also include as well experiences of peace agreements and reconciliation processes of Colombia and other countries.
- Le Jardin Parallèle: Appel à résidences / Marionnettes (France)
Cet appel à résidence s’adresse aux compagnies régionales, nationales ou internationales et aux artistes qui développent une écriture contemporaine et dont la recherche interroge les multiples formes de la création autour de l’objet. Il a pour objectifs de soutenir les arts de la marionnette dans leur dynamique de création (adaptation de texte, construction, essais au plateau…), et d’apporter des solutions aux besoins spécifiques de cet art.
- Goethe-Institut: International Coproduction Fund
The Goethe-Institut's International Coproduction Fund is intended for coproductions by artists in the fields of theatre, dance, music and performance art, in which hybrid and interdisciplinary formats and the use of digital media may be key components. The target group comprises professional artists and ensembles abroad and in Germany, which demonstrably lack sufficient resources to realise their coproduction project on their own. Projects between German and non-European partners, in particular from transition countries, are preferred.
- Open Call for Projects, ‘Arts and Culture for a Better and Healthier Life’
With an open call for projects NDPC, in partnership with NDPHS, EUNIC and Arts Promotion Centre Finland, is launching the project ‘The Art of Staying Healthy’. Organisations are invited to submit ideas that explore the possibilities of integrating arts and cultural activities into the provision of health and social care services. The project targets the Northern Dimension (ND) area, which covers Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Russia and Sweden.
- Open Call for the 10th Geumgang Nature Art Biennale 2022 (South Korea)
For its tenth edition, the 2022 Geumgang Nature Art Biennale aims to create a new discourse in nature art around the rewilding of nature and art, and calls for artworks under the theme of ‘Again, Multiplicities of Rewilding’. Artists can submit model drawings that will be presented at the 2021 Geumgang Nature Art Biennale Project Exhibition, running 28 August - 31 October 2021, with selected projects then supported to be fully realised in 2022.
- IETM: Member Travel Grants for Satellite Girona 2021 (Italy)
What’s next? Co-organised by Institut Català de Les Empreses Culturals - Catalan Arts and Institut Ramon Llull, in collaboration with the Temporada Alta Festival and the Girona City Council, IETM’s next Satellite Meeting will be held from 25-27 November 2021 in Girona, and invite a collective reflection on how we can build on what we have learned and think of new ways to reposition the arts as a relevant agent for social change. Travel grants are offered to IETM members.
- Het Nieuwe Instituut and Tilting Axis: Tilting Axis Fellowship 2021 (Netherlands)
The Het Nieuwe Instituut and Tilting Axis fellowship is for one mid-career and established researcher, artist, designer, writer, curator, or cultural producer based in the Caribbean region interested in building new links with cultural institutions in the Netherlands, and who has an interest in developing their practice around themes related to architecture, spatial practice, design or digital culture.
- Tashweesh Festival: Open Call for Feminist Artists and Activists for an Online Retreat
L’Art Rue Association in Tunis is pleased to host an online retreat for artists and activists working and organising on feminisms, gender and sexuality, to share their research, ideas and projects in a creative and conversational setup. This is a paid opportunity for people who are from or based in the following countries: Algeria, Austria, Belgium, Egypt, Germany, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Sudan, Syria and Tunisia. Selected applicants will be invited to share their work in the two-day online retreat as well as to participate in closed and public conversations, all of which are happening 3-4 December 2021.
- Fondation Jan Michalski: Residencies for Writers
The Jan Michalski Foundation lies at the foot of the Swiss Jura Mountains in Montricher. Its residency programme is open to all types of writers engaged in literary creation. While they give priority to writers and translators, the Foundation are also open to any other disciplines as long as writing is at the heart of the project. Stays in the Jan Michalski Foundation can be granted for individual projects or projects in pairs, and can last two weeks, one month, two months, three months or six-months. The next wave of residencies will begin from February 2022. Applications are open internationally.
- Science Gallery Venice: Earth Water Sky Residency – Earth (Italy)
Earth Water Sky environmental science and arts residency programme are looking for an artist from any discipline who is truly inspired by thinking about time and connecting the geology of our Earth to humankind. The artist must also enjoy the research process as well as public engagement and be able to create imaginative, extraordinary new work which captures the public’s attention, senses, minds and hearts. The selected artist will undertake a two-month residency, after which they can bid for a production fund to realise a full artwork.
- Grand Paris Express: Illustrating the Grand Paris (France)
The Grand Paris Express is the name for a group of new and extended transit lines being built in the Île-de-France region of Paris. An international call for projects is now being launched for the creation of permanent frescos on the platforms of the Grand Paris Express train stations. In order to enable the laureates to better discover the territory allocated to them and to perfect their project, an on-site five-day residency will be programmed.
