The music and city festival Station Narva, scheduled to take place on 5-7 August 2021, has launched an open call for an urban art competition in collaboration with the Narva Museum Art Gallery and the Narva Art Residency (NART).
Sculptures, installations, urban furniture, street art, outdoor exhibitions or other objects that enrich the public space and are defined by a specific location in Narva are welcome to enter the competition.
Preference will be given to competition entries that can remain in place also after the event. Submissions are welcome from both professional artists and students of various disciplines.
Applicants submit a concept and the winning entry will be awarded 3000 euros towards the project’s production costs, which includes the artists’ fee as well as the cost of materials. The costs of transport, accommodation and catering for the participants during the project installation period and during the festival will also be covered. The festival will also support the project in acquiring the necessary permits and with marketing. The Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA) will also present a special prize to the winner.
