Rhodes Trust: Rhodes Art for Global Impact Residency 2024–2025 (UK)

Façade of a classical building with the text of the call.

This residency provides an opportunity for an artist to join the community of the Rhodes Trust for one year as a non residential intellectual exchange project culminating in an exhibition at Rhodes House.

The Rhodes Trust seeks artists committed to the values and vision of the Trust, with a practice rooted in social justice and/or addressing the most pressing issues in the world today. The artist will work collaboratively with the community for the duration of the residency. The residency will operate on an annual basis. Applications will be invited from the public biannually. In the intervening years the residency will be limited to applicants from the global Rhodes Scholar community.

Each year the applicants will be asked to submit proposals that respond to a theme. For the first year, the committee have decided the theme to be Radical Joy.

This opportunity is open to a wide range of artists, architects, designers and makers at all stages of their careers. Entrants may showcase paintings, sculpture, drawings, textile, prints or mixed media, digital prints and collaborative artworks, photography. UK and International applications are welcome.

  • Reimbursement for travel and project materials up to 3,000 GBP
