Resurrexit festival organised by concert institution Polifonija is the oldest representative professional music festival of the city Šiauliai, known both, in Lithuania and Europe. This year Resurrexit is celebrating its 40th anniversary. During Easter week there will be twelve concerts, a full day scientific conference ‘Religious music: art, science, practice’, and Study Tour residency.
Study Tour is a seven-day educational residency for Lithuanian and foreign young musicians (up to 35 years old). It is intended for students, singers, composers, educators, conductors and others who are interested in choral music. Mentor of residents dr. Linas Balandis will invite you to explore the Resurrexit festival from various perspectives, gain practical and theoretical knowledge. Together participants will observe rehearsals, concerts, join a series of seminars, organise meetings with festival guests, initiate discussions, gain new connections and experiences. Of course, in addition to the programme, you will also have some free time to explore the city.
Resurrexit will provide participants with:
- Compensation for travel expenses (up to 300 EUR).
- Accommodation services.
- Per diem for meals.
- Study Tour ticket, with which you can enter all Resurrexit events for free.
- A diploma.
