How do we keep our spark alive working in independent cultural centres? The penguin project develops ideas, tools and methods to help cultural workers answer that question for themselves. Its Train the Trainer programme will accompany participants for a year whilst they develop new ways to understand their motivations, context and ability to influence their working cultures towards a fair and rewarding relationship of mutual growth.
The objective of the Train the Trainer programme is to disseminate the penguin methods and tools to enable formal and informal peer-to-peer learning in the independent cultural sector. For that purpose the programme brings together a group of 10 cultural workers from all over Europe for a 10 month learning journey. During the programme this group of penguin trainees will learn about the theoretical underpinnings and the method of the penguin project. But most importantly they will apply the penguin tools in practice and learn how to make their own and their centres working culture more sustainable.
The Train the Trainer programme consists of:
- Three-day opening workshop at Die Bäckerei in Innsbruck, free of charge - including travel, accommodation and subsistence.
- Nine online supervision sessions facilitated by the penguin founders.
- Individual work packages for you to apply at home.
- Three-day closing workshop at Die Bäckerei in Innsbruck, free of charge as well.
