La Casa del Teatre Nu: Residency for Performing Artists Based in Ibero-America (Spain)

La Casa del Teatre Nu in the Spanish town of Sant Martí de Tous calls for applications for a residency from all performing arts disciplines, from individual artists or companies from any of the countries that belong to the Iberescena programme.

Teatre Nu is a collective of performing arts professionals that creates, produces and exhibits shows, and manages projects that promote and bring the performing arts to all audiences. Additionally, they are responsible for the artistic direction and programming of the Festival de Leyendas de Cataluña (Festival of Legends of Catalonia) organised by És Llegenda Association, which takes place annually during the first weekend of July.

This call complements the Festival’s residency programme and aims to promote research, offering alternatives to different audiences and promoting diversity and intercultural dialogue in relation to legends, myths and oral tradition in Latin America.

Applicants from the following countries are eligible to apply: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, México, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal or Uruguay.

Applicants will be professionals who belong to the Performing Arts field (understood as theatre, dance, circus, live arts and/or hybrid formats of one or more combinations).

The duration of the residency will depend on the nature of each project, with maximum stays of 10 consecutive days. The residency may be carried out during the month of October or November 2024, preferably, to be agreed upon according to the availability of accommodation and resident artists.

Teatre Nu guarantees air and land transport, as well as food and lodging for between one and three people.
