Kseij Dance Company, an emerging youth contemporary dance project company based in Genoa (Italy), and the Artistic Director Alekseij Canepa, are looking for a young choreographer to create a new piece to be included in the repertoire of the company.
- Only applications from choreographers aged between 18 and 35 will be accepted.
- Each candidate can submit a single choreography project (existing or new).
The artist must be able to present, in addition to the artistic idea and the creative imagination, a concrete vision indicating the development of the creative and production process of their own choreographic idea.
Required duration of the choreography: approximately 15–20 minutes.
With regard to the project to be developed during the residency period, the selected choreographer will also be able to have artistic consultancy and support in all the stages of setting up the project that will lead to the debut in the theater.
The period of creative residency will be agreed with the winning choreographer of the call.
The selected choreographer will receive the following:
- A cash prize of 400 EUR
- Coverage of travel and accommodation costs in Genoa during the creation period
- Possibility to hold (unpaid) a workshop in Genoa
