Karne Kunst/Sorora: Resonance Residency for FLINTA Musicians with Migrant Background in Europe (Germany)

Text of the call with a picture of a saxophone.

Karne Kunst, in collaboration with Sorora e.V., presents Resonance Residency, a programme designed to amplify the voices of underrepresented FLINTA* musicians—including composers, performers, sound artists, and DJs of various musical genres— with migrant backgrounds across Europe.

Set in Projektraum Coswig in Coswig (Anhalt, Germany), this two-month residency provides the time, space, and resources for musicians to thrive. Through mentorship, workshops, and public performances, Resonance aims to foster creativity, collaboration, and cultural exchange, enriching both the artists’ careers and the European music scene.

The programme is open to FLINTA (female, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, transgender, and agender) musicians with a migrant background who are legal residents in Europe. It is open to composers, performers, sound artists, and DJs from all musical genres. Solo artists, duos, or trios can apply (although financial support for groups is limited to one member).

Costs covered:

  • Travel within the EU (arranged by the organiser)
  • Accommodation
  • Deutschland Ticket for unlimited regional travel in Germany
  • Professional studio recording of one track per participant
  • Gig fees for two public performances (Coswig and Berlin)
