The Goethe-Institut on behalf of the EUNIC – European Union National Institutes for Culture Cluster Palestine and the European Union has announced an opportunity for emerging Palestinian and European artists to participate in an interdisciplinary artistic residency programme for two months (between January and June 2025).

This residency seeks to foster collaboration, experimentation, presentation, and performance of new works that engage local communities in Palestinian heritage sites, as well as international audiences online. The residency programme aims to facilitate creative discussions and exchanges among participants through tours, lectures, and seminars.

The residency will culminate in public events at a cultural heritage site, bringing local and international audiences together in these historical places (in person and virtually) showcasing these productions and projects that aim to preserve and enhance the Palestinian cultural heritage.

The call is open for individual artists and organisations of all disciplines over the age of 18 from Palestine residing in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, Gaza, or Diaspora, and European artists and/or organisations. The specialties for the call are audio and visual arts.

The residency will offer free studio space, a per diem allowance and production grant for materials and other production costs, mentoring, and logistical support to culminate in an exhibition/public event. The grant amount ranges from above 4,000 EUR to below 6,500 EUR. Applicants are encouraged to apply for the amount that accurately reflects their needs. Accommodation and per diem costs will be determined later.
