Valladolid (Spain) invites 3 artists from the CreArt Network and 2 artists from Valladolid to work for one month in Valladolid AiR in Lava (Laboratorio de las Artes de Valladolid) between 12 September and 16 October 2022.
Residencies are offered for 5 visual artists from different disciplines: 3 from cities of the CreArt Network and 2 local artists from Valladolid. As a basic condition, they must have been born or currently reside in any of the cities that participate in the CreArt Network: Valladolid - ES, Genoa and Venice - IT, Clermont - Ferrand and Rouen FR, members of HDLU - HR, Kaunas - LT, Lublin - PL - Aveiro - PT, Skopje - MK, and Ukrainian artists through the partner Lviv Artist Council ‘Dialogue’.
The selection criteria will seek to represent the quality and diversity of the different visual arts. There is no age limitation. However, it is necessary to have a degree in an artistic field at the university level (or alternatively, prove an equivalent ability, through the artistic career).
Covered:
- Travel costs to Valladolid for artists from other CreArt cities (plane ticket from their CreArt city – or from the closest city that communicates with Madrid – and train ticket between Madrid and Valladolid). Travel will also be covered for artists from Valladolid if necessary (within Spain or across EU).
- The 5 selected artists will each receive €1000 (including taxes), for subsistence expenses, production of work and other expenses.
- Artists from other CreArt cities will stay in an apartment reserved by the organization close to the work studios at Galerías VA.
Artists must have a European health card or equivalent.
