Taking place in Dnipro in Ukraine, Construction is an international festival for contemporary and experimental art and music, which has been held annually since 2014. The festival combines topics of social and cultural development, and creative needs of people living in post-industrial and post-soviet cities.
Artists from all over the world working on projects exploring new aesthetic approaches in digital creation, sonic art and urban space are invited to submit their projects to take part at the Construction festival 2021.
The artistic works the festival are especially interested in are:
- Sound installations, radio installations.
- Audio-visual performances featuring innovative use of digital imagery and sound.
- Multimedia projects involving interactive urban installations and architectural mapping.
- Any projects that push boundaries and challenge conventions in the digital creation sphere.
Live performances are also welcome from countries around the world (depending on the situation with travel restrictions).
All works will be presented during the annual international festival of contemporary and experimental art and music Construction, taking place 17-27 June 2021. Selected projects receive an artist fee of 350 EUR and production and material costs - up to 500 EUR. In case of cancellation of the lockdown and reduction of travel restrictions the festival can think about covering travel costs to/from Dnipro and subsistence costs.
