Fondation Fiminco > Residency Programme for Visual Artists (France)
Fondation Fiminco is launching an open call for visual artists across all disciplines to undertake a residency in Romainville (Seine-Saint-Denis). This residency will be focused on research and development, as well as production. The residency is aimed at artists residing in France or abroad, without an age limit, who can demonstrate a professional practice, either emerging established.
Conceived as a place open to all, Fondation Fiminco offers artistic events throughout the year (exhibitions, performances, lectures, art history courses...) that are free and aimed at a diverse audience. The programme aims to raise awareness of contemporary art and to create encounters with artists, to understand their environment, views, and creative processes.
The Fondation’s residency building is also a hybrid living space, open to its environment, where artists can meet visitors. Public events are planned, including open visits to the workshops.
For artists selected for residency the Fondation provides:
Return trip to and from the artists’ country of origin, plus public transport subscription for the Ile-de-France region.
A furnished studio with a bathroom (between 20 and 25 m2). Residents will have communal kitchens and living spaces.
Production assistance of up to 4000 euros tax included, for the duration of the residency is allocated to artists on proof-of-purchases and with the supervision of the production team.
The Fondation accepts applications from artistic duos or collectives, however accommodation and work conditions are the same as for single artists: only one room and work space will be allocated.
Deadline: 21 January 2021
