EESAB > Open Call for International Artist in Residence (France)
The European Art School of Brittany in France seeks a motivated artist to spend an academic semester in a stimulating environment at its campus in Brest. Brest's MFA department is currently taking calls for the fourth edition of its artist in residence programme.
The artist selected for 2020-21 will be resident from 14 September 2020 to 31 January 2021 and will work primarily with MFA students in the context of the new MFA programme, Forms of Life/Life of Forms. The teaching project developed will involve students individually and collectively and reflect her/his artistic practice in line with programme directions.
The call is addressed to artists who are fully engaged in practice and research and have experience and a background in international work. Experience in teaching is appreciated and knowledge of French can prove useful.
Salary (territorial civil service salary grid / employment framework that corresponds to teacher of artistic education with normal status: 2100€/month (figure as an indication).
Accommodation conditions: an apartment can be reserved on the international
university campus (rent : 467,50€ / month at the expense of the invited artist).
Transport: 50% of the monthly subscription for the urban transport network in Brest.
A personal studio space is provided for the artist.
