La Becque > Artist Residencies (Switzerland)
La Becque is a Swiss residency centre located on the shores of Lake Geneva, between Vevey and Montreux. It hosts and fosters the creativity of artists of all backgrounds and disciplines, and from around the world. In the current call, applicants can apply for three-month or six-month residencies, which need to take place between January and November 2021.
La Becque’s principal residency programme is open internationally and to all disciplines. It dedicates particular attention to projects exploring the interplay of the notions of nature, the environment, and technology. There is also a second residency programme, Coincdencia, which offers three-month residencies to artists living in South America.
The residency programme provides:
A live-work apartment for the time of the resident’s stay.
Depending on the needs outlined by the residency project, exclusive or shared use of additional studio space.
A monthly stipend of CHF 1500 (~1400 EUR) to offset the costs of day-to-day living and the cost of materials.
Travel costs are generally not covered. Depending on financial necessities outlined by the candidate, additional funds may be made available to facilitate travel.
Deadline (extended): 7 April 2020
