Travel Grants for Annual Conference of the Caribbean Studies Association (Guyana)
For the 45th Annual Conference of the Caribbean Studies Association (CSA) in Georgetown, Guyana from 1-5 June 2020, the CSA is able to offer a limited number of travel grants. The topic of this year’s conference is ‘Identity Politics, Industry, Ecology and the Intelligent Economy in Caribbean Societies’ (call for papers here).
There are several categories of travel grant, but Category B invites applications from artists and writers from under-resourced Greater Caribbean nations who have a relevant proposal for the conference programme.
The aim of the grant is to assist current and potential CSA members who do not have access to any funding from their institutions or countries, and who will not be able to attend the conference without funding.
Candidates can apply for one of two types of grants: partial (an amount to help cover the participation in the conference) and full (an exceptional grant covering airfare, accommodation and per diem).
All travel grant awardees will be expected to be in attendance at the conference and to volunteer a few hours of their time to assist the organising committee onsite during the conference.
Deadline: 31 March 2020
