The chosen artists will be invited to flesh out and implement their submitted concept as part of a 1 week residency in summer 2021, and then showcase it to the public as part of an exhibition in October 2021.

    ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe and the Deutsches Museum invite international artists to submit innovative project proposals at the intersection of art and artificial intelligence (AI) and apply for a two-part artist residency at both institutions as part of the project ‘The Intelligent Museum’.   • News / bildingship: Working Fellowship in Art and Architecture (Austria)

    Based in Innsbruck, Austria, the art and architecture school bilding is a free creative space for children and young adults from 4 to 19 years, who are supported in discovering and developing their creative interests, abilities and talents. ‘bildingship’ is a working fellowship for young artists, allowing them to use bilding as space for their own artistic work as well as to actively engaging in the regular workshop programme. It lasts half a year (extensions to one year is possible) and provides a part-time employment. Foreign and domestic artists from the fields of art and architecture can apply.

That’s why the German-Israeli Future Forum are offering peers in Germany/Israel short-term micro-funding grants to digitally realise creative ideas and experiment with new formats. The format for a proposal is quite open, as long as it’s accessible to the public. It could be an online event, a video, a podcast, an online live show, etc., but must involve at least one person in Germany and one person in Israel.

Compagnie Irene K. are looking for productions that have been created specifically for the outdoors / for public space or that can be adapted to these settings. The duration of the productions should be 10-20 minutes.

    Roxy ULM’s ResearchLab (based in Ulm, Germany) consists of up to four residencies per year. Each residency lasts three weeks and is aimed at supporting dance by nurturing emerging choreographers to realise their ideas from concept to live performance. Young, emerging and established choreographers are welcome to apply. A first ResearchLab is scheduled to run from 1 March 2021, and a second from 3 May 2021.

Titled ‘Back to Normality’, it pursues a mission to travel to the year 2121 to take a look back, question and rethink today's concept of ‘normality’ from a present, past and future perspective. WW 2021 invites applications from collectives, initiatives and solo artists working in a wide variety of formats.

    Austrian Cultural Forum Belgrade is launching an online platform dedicated to the dialogue between Austrian and Serbian artists. The call invites artists to submit artworks in digital form that shed light on the way European societies look at themselves and ‘the other’. It is open to contemporary visual artists over the age of 18 with a minimum of three years of professional experience who are Serbian or Austrian citizens or who currently live and work in Austria or Serbia.

    The Allianz Cultural Foundation is funding co-production scholarships at the Tarabya Kulturakademie for an initial period of three years starting in 2021. The scholarships are aimed at artists from Turkey who are working in tandem with partners from Germany. In this way, the Allianz Cultural Foundation aims to strengthen artistic freedom and exchange in Turkish-German cultural cooperation. The first scholarships will support stays in Istanbul between October 2021 and September 2022.
