The Innovative Leadership Network (ILN) is a Nordic cross-disciplinary platform working towards enabling artists to become leaders, developing innovative methods for artistic research activities, as well as developing new ideas in relation to rethinking institutions, increasing audience engagement, investigating new presentation formats, tackling political & societal issues or working on sustainable practices… in order to challenge status quo. IN SITU is the European network specifically focused on artistic creation in public space. This document is based on the final report of IN SITU Platform sent to the European Commission in January 2018. Highlights include: Anticipated impacts from the IN SITU Platform evaluation framework; Feedback from IN SITU partners and participating artists; Observations from key events over the course of IN SITU, including: Travellings in 2015, 2016 and 2017 in Marseille and the Emerging Lab in Hull in 2017. This document has been done in partnership with On the Move as part of its evaluation contribution.

This toolkit initiated by the European Network of Cultural Centres (ENCC) in partnership with Dagna Gmitrowicz and On the Move will embark you on the different steps of development of your evaluation through information, advice and exercises. The report maps the obstacles, in the fields of social security and taxation, which artists and cultural professionals face when they are mobile or seek to be mobile in the EU.

The report was prepared by Marie Le Sourd, Elena Di Federico (both members of staff of On The Move) and Dr Sung-Won Yoon. The report includes useful references and weblinks of organisations in the fields of performing arts, publishing, cultural heritage, visual arts and audiovisual as well as a section on cultural mobility.
