    ZKM | Hertz-Lab / SWR Experimentalstudio: Giga-Hertz Award
    The Giga-Hertz Award endows two Production Prizes through an open application process. These support sound artists to initiate and promote new projects by giving them financial support and time to work at the ZKM | Hertz-Lab in Karlsruhe or the SWR Experimentalstudio. The working stay should last at least two months at the ZKM | Hertz_Lab or two to four weeks at the SWR Experimentalstudio. The new work is then expected to premiere the following year during the award ceremony of the Giga-Hertz Prize, and possibly be broadcast on radio.

    After successful digital editions of the Reeperbahn Festival New York in 2020 and 2021, the organisers are planning two tracks this year: an in-person event if possible, a hybrid/online one if necessary. European music industry professionals are invited to apply to be part of the delegation visiting the conference from 13-16 June 2022. Travel is subsidised, but delegates need a ticket if the event takes place in-person.

    Cryptic / B’sarya: Open Call for Artists From Egypt and the UK, ‘Down the Wire’ (Egypt / UK)
    Down the Wire Live is a six-month collaborative project between B’sarya (Egypt) and Cryptic (UK). Both organisations will support artists, enabling them to participate in a collaborative research and development project resulting in a live performance/event in both Glasgow and Alexandria. 16 artists will participate in an exchange on 6 July 2022, with 2 selected for a final exchange to take place between October 2022 – early April 2023.

    Moritzburg Festival Academy for Young Musicians
    Launched in 2006, the Moritzburg Festival Academy is an annual event that selects young musicians from all over the world to participate in an intensive training programme and form the international Moritzburg Festival Orchestra. The 2022 edition will take place 1-15 August 2022 at Moritzburg Castle in Germany. Open to music students aged between 16 and 26 years performing chamber music.
